GALLOS Alliance Terms & Conditions 

Effective Date: 20/05/2025 

Welcome to The GALLOS Alliance, an exclusive, members-only network for senior professionals across cyber, technology, and risk. By accessing or participating in our community and wider resources, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. 

1. Membership & Eligibility 

• Membership is by application only. All members must meet strict eligibility criteria and be approved by the GALLOS Alliance team. 

• Members must be the most senior professional in their organisation within the fields of cyber, technology, or risk. 

• Membership is non-transferable.

2. User Conduct 

• Members must maintain a professional, respectful environment at all times. 

• All community spaces (online and in-person) are strictly sales-free—no unsolicited sales, marketing, or promotional activity is permitted. 

• Chatham House Rule applies at all events: participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed. 

• Members must not post, share, or engage in any unlawful, offensive, or discriminatory content or behaviour. 

3. Content & Intellectual Property 

• Content provided by The GALLOS Alliance (podcasts, articles, white papers, event materials) is for members’ personal and professional use only. 

• User-generated content (if applicable, e.g., in a LinkedIn group) may be reviewed and moderated by the GALLOS team and external collaborators. 

• Members retain rights to their own contributions but grant The GALLOS Alliance a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content within the community. 

• No content may be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without explicit permission. 

4. Privacy & Data Collection 

• We collect and process the following personal data: name, job title, company, LinkedIn address, profile picture, and dietary requirements. 

• This information is used for membership management, event organisation (including dietary needs), and to maintain an accurate member directory (names and titles only are visible to other members). 

• Moderators and authorised administrators can view the above data and may contact members by email for community-related purposes. 

GDPR Compliance 

• GALLOS Alliance complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018. 

• Lawful Basis: We process your data based on legitimate interest (membership management and event organisation) and, where required, your consent. 

• Data Rights: You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time. You may also object to or restrict certain processing activities. 

• Data Security: We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. 

• Data Sharing: Your data is not shared with third parties except as required for event logistics (e.g., dietary requirements to caterers) or with your explicit consent. 

• Data Retention: We retain your data only as long as necessary for membership and legal purposes. If you leave the community, your data will be deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, unless required by law to retain it. 

5. Moderation & Enforcement 

• Moderators and administrators may review content, manage membership, and enforce these Terms & Conditions. 

• Breaches of conduct, inappropriate behaviour, or violations of these terms may result in suspension or removal from the community at the discretion of the GALLOS Alliance team. 

6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability 

• The GALLOS Alliance is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of member-generated content. 

• Participation in events and use of resources is at your own risk. 

7. Changes to Terms 

• We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Members will be notified of significant changes. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
